Alternatives
Durable alternatives for a physical-product store
Compare Durable, Shopify, 10Web, and Storefront Factory when a physical product needs variants, shipping, checkout, and order operations.
Durable is an AI website builder, but a physical-product store needs more than generated pages. The decision turns on who owns product choices, shipping, checkout validation, inventory, and the order after payment.
Competitor capabilities below were checked against official sources on August 31, 2026. Plans and availability change, so verify the linked pages before purchasing.
When Durable is still the right choice
Durable is strongest when the main outcome is a fast, editable website for a service business. It can link a product page to Stripe, but Durable's help center says it does not offer a cart, inventory management, or shipping settings and requires a payment link for each product. See Durable's ecommerce setup guidance.
Choose Durable when lead generation, services, invoicing, or a simple business presence is the real job. Its ecommerce limitations matter less if you are not operating a physical-product checkout.
Shopify: best when the operation may expand
Shopify supplies a hosted online store, inventory management, custom domains, multiple sales channels, and a broad app ecosystem. See Shopify pricing and features.
Choose Shopify when one product may become a catalog, retail operation, international store, or multichannel business. Its monthly plan and payment costs vary by market and configuration, so compare the current total rather than a promotional headline.
10Web: best when you want WordPress and WooCommerce
10Web's AI ecommerce builder generates a WordPress store backed by WooCommerce. Its official documentation describes products and variations, inventory, payments, order handling, AI editing, and extensibility through the WordPress stack. See 10Web's ecommerce builder and WooCommerce setup documentation.
Choose 10Web when a broader editable WordPress store and plugin ecosystem are benefits you intend to use. It is more infrastructure and configuration than a deliberately constrained one-product workflow.
Storefront Factory: best when the store stays focused
Storefront Factory is built for one physical product per store with variants, quantity offers, eligible add-ons, flat-rate shipping, Stripe-hosted checkout, and shared order operations. Product amounts and checkout selections are validated by the server rather than authored by AI or accepted from the browser.
The current release has no monthly platform subscription. It applies a 5% fee to product and add-on value, excluding shipping and tax; Stripe processing is separate. It currently targets US merchants and USD stores on platform-provided domains.
Choose another platform if you need many products, subscriptions, point of sale, live carrier rates, multiple currencies, warehouse tooling, marketplace channels, or a third-party app marketplace.
Compare operating work, not only the builder
For a physical product, account for variants, quantity offers, customer addresses, shipping choices, fulfillment, tracking, refunds, failed payments, and support. A fast page generator is not automatically a commerce system. Start with the single-product launch checklist, then choose the smallest platform that covers the operation you actually need.
